Al-Anbiya | The Prophetsسورة الأنبياء  Sura # 21 | Makkah
-
21-11.           وَكَمْ قَصَمْنَا مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ كَانَتْ ظَالِمَةً وَأَنْشَأْنَا بَعْدَهَا قَوْمًا آخَرِينَ
    


 [Ahmed Ali]     اور ہم نے بہت سی بستیوں کو جو ظالم تھیں غارت کر دیا ہے اور ان کے بعد ہم نے اور قومیں پیدا کیں
   



  [Yusuf Ali]     How many were the populations we utterly destroyed because of their iniquities, setting up in their places other peoples!

Muslims do not die in vain

21-12.           فَلَمَّا أَحَسُّوا بَأْسَنَا إِذَا هُمْ مِنْهَا يَرْكُضُونَ
    



[Ahmed Ali]     پھر جب انہوں نے ہمارے عذاب کی آہٹ پائی تو وہ فوراً وہاں سے بھاگنے لگے
    


 [Yusuf Ali]     Yet, when they felt Our Punishment (coming), behold they (tried to) flee from it.

21-13.           لَا تَرْكُضُوا وَارْجِعُوا إِلَىٰ مَا أُتْرِفْتُمْ فِيهِ وَمَسَاكِنِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُسْأَلُونَ
    

 [Ahmed Ali]     مت بھاگو اور لوٹ جاؤ جہاں تم نے عیش کیا تھا اور اپنے گھروں میں جاؤ تاکہ تم سے پوچھا جائے
    

 [Yusuf Ali]     Flee not, but return to the good things of this life which were given you, and to your homes, in order that ye may be called to account.

21-14.           قَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا ظَالِمِينَ
    

 [Ahmed Ali]     کہنے لگے ہائے ہماری کم بختی بے شک ہم ہی ظالم تھے
    


 [Yusuf Ali]     They said: "Ah! woe to us! We were indeed wrong―doers!"

21-15.           فَمَا زَالَتْ تِلْكَ دَعْوَاهُمْ حَتَّىٰ جَعَلْنَاهُمْ حَصِيدًا خَامِدِينَ
    
 [Ahmed Ali]     سو ان کی یہی پکار رہی یہاں تک کہ ہم نے انہیں ایسا کر دیا جس طرح کھیتی کٹی ہوئی ہو اور وہ بجھ کر رہ گئے
    

 [Yusuf Ali]     And that cry of theirs ceased not, till We made them as a field that is mown, as ashes silent and quenched.
