[Yusuf Ali] Behold! Thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man, from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape;
15-29. فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِنْ رُوحِي فَقَعُوا لَهُ سَاجِدِينَ
[Ahmed Ali] پھر جب میں اسے ٹھیک بنالوں اور اس میں اپنی روح پھونک دوں تو تم اس کے آگے سجدہ میں گر پڑنا
[Yusuf Ali] "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him."
15-30. فَسَجَدَ الْمَلَائِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ
[Ahmed Ali] پھر سب کے سب فرشتوں نے سجدہ کیا
So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together:
15-31. إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ أَبَىٰ أَنْ يَكُونَ مَعَ السَّاجِدِينَ
[Ahmed Ali] مگر ابلیس نے انکار کیا کہ سجدہ کرنے والوں کے ساتھ ہو
[Yusuf Ali] Not so Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves.
15-32. قَالَ يَا إِبْلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ السَّاجِدِينَ
[Ahmed Ali] فرمایا اے ابلیس! تجھے کیا ہوا کہ سجدہ کرنے والوں کے ساتھ نہ ہوا
[Yusuf Ali] (Allah) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?"
15-33. قَالَ لَمْ أَكُنْ لِأَسْجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقْتَهُ مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ مِنْ حَمَإٍ مَسْنُونٍ
[Ahmed Ali] کہا میں ایسا نہ تھا کہ ایک ایسے بشر کو سجدہ کروں جسے تو نے بجتی ہوئی مٹی سے جو سڑے ہوئے گارے کی تھی پیدا کیا ہے
[Yusuf Ali] (Iblis) said: "I am not one to prostrate myself to man, whom, thou didst create from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape."
15-34. قَالَ فَاخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ
[Ahmed Ali] کہا تو آسمان سے نکل جا بے شک تو مردود ہو گیا
[Yusuf Ali] (Allah) said: "Then get thee out from here; for thou art rejected, accursed.
15-35. وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ اللَّعْنَةَ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
[Ahmed Ali] اور بے شک تجھ پر قیامت کے دن تک لعنت رہے گی
[Yusuf Ali] "And the Curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment."
15-36. قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنْظِرْنِي إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
[Ahmed Ali] کہا اے میرے رب! تو پھر مجھے قیامت کے دن تک مہلت دے
[Yusuf Ali] (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised."
15-37. قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنْظَرِينَ
[Ahmed Ali] فرمایا بےشک تجھے مہلت ہے
[Yusuf Ali] (Allah) said: "Respite is granted thee―
15-38. إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْوَقْتِ الْمَعْلُومِ
[Ahmed Ali] وقت معلوم کے دن تک
[Yusuf Ali] "Till the Day of the Time Appointed."
15-39. قَالَ رَبِّ بِمَا أَغْوَيْتَنِي لَأُزَيِّنَنَّ لَهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
[Ahmed Ali] کہا اے میرے رب! جیسا تو نے مجھے گمراہ لیا ہے البتہ ضرور ضرور میں زمین میں انہیں ان کے گناہوں کو مرغوب کر کے دکھاؤں گا اور ان سب کو گمراہ کروں گا
[Yusuf Ali] (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! because Thou hast put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the wrong―15-40. إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ الْمُخْلَصِينَ
[Ahmed Ali] سوائے تیرے ان بندوں کے جو ان میں مخلص ہو ں گے
[Yusuf Ali] "Except Thy servants among them, sincere and purified (by thy grace)."
15-41. قَالَ هَٰذَا صِرَاطٌ عَلَيَّ مُسْتَقِيمٌ
[Ahmed Ali] فرمایا یہ راستہ مجھ پر سیدھا ہے
[Yusuf Ali] (Allah) said: "This (Way of My sincere servants) is indeed a Way that leads straight to Me.
15-42. إِنَّ عِبَادِي لَيْسَ لَكَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَانٌ إِلَّا مَنِ اتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ الْغَاوِينَ
[Ahmed Ali] بے شک میرے بندوں پر تیرا کچھ بھی بس نہیں چلے گا مگر جو گمراہوں میں سے تیرا تابعدار ہوا
[Yusuf Ali] "For over My servants no authority shalt thou have, except such as put themselves in the wrong and follow thee."
15-43. وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمَوْعِدُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ
[Ahmed Ali] اور بے شک ان سب کا وعدہ دوزخ پر ہے
[Yusuf Ali] And verily, Hell is the promised abode for them all!
Al Isra 17-61. وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ قَالَ أَأَسْجُدُ لِمَنْ خَلَقْتَ طِينًا
[Ahmed Ali] اور جب ہم نے فرشتوں سے کہا آدم کو سجدہ کرو تو سوائے ابلیس کے سب سجدہ میں گر پڑے کہا کیا میں ایسے شخص کو سجدہ کروں جسےتو نے مٹی بنایا ہے
[Yusuf Ali] Behold! We said to the angels: "Bow down unto Adam": they bowed down except Iblis: he said "Shall I bow down to one whom Thou didst create from clay?"
17-62. قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَكَ هَٰذَا الَّذِي كَرَّمْتَ عَلَيَّ لَئِنْ أَخَّرْتَنِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لَأَحْتَنِكَنَّ ذُرِّيَّتَهُ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
[Ahmed Ali] کہا بھلا دیکھ تو یہ شخص جسے تو نے مجھ سے بڑھایا اگرتو مجھے قیامت کے دن تک مہلت دے تو میں بھی سوائے چند لوگوں کے اس کی نسل کو قابو میں کر کے رہونگا
[Yusuf Ali] He said "Seest Thou?
This is the one whom thou hast honoured above me!
If Thou wilt but respite me to the Day of Judgment,
I will surely bring his descendants under my sway all but a few!"
17-63. قَالَ اذْهَبْ فَمَنْ تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ فَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ جَزَاؤُكُمْ جَزَاءً مَوْفُورًا
[Ahmed Ali] فرمایا جا۔ پھر ان میں سے جو کوئی تیرے ساتھ ہوا تو جہنم تم سب کی پوری سزا ہے
[Yusuf Ali] Allah said: "Go thy way; if any of them follow thee, verily Hell will be the recompense of you (all)― an ample recompense.

[Ahmed Ali] اورجس وقت شیطان نے ان کے اعمال کو ان کی نظروں میں خوشنما کر دیا اورکہا کہ آج کے دن لوگوں میں سے کوئی بھی تم پر غالب نہ ہوگا اور میں تمہارا حمایتی ہوں پھر جب دونوں فوجیں سامنے ہوئیں تووہ اپنے ایڑیوں پر الٹا پھرا اور کہا میں تمہارے ساتھ نہیں ہوں میں ایسی چیر دیکھتا ہوں جو تم نہیں دیکھتے میں الله سے ڈرتا ہوں اور الله سخت عذاب کرنے والا ہے
[Yusuf Ali] Remember satan made their (sinful) acts seem alluring to them,
and said: "No one among men can overcome you this day,
while I am near to you":
but when the two forces came in sight of each other he turned on his heels and said:
"Lo! I am clear of you; lo! I see what ye see not; lo! I fear Allah; for Allah is strict in punishment.
