COMAND--PROMISES& Oaths---S16/91/92/-Do,nt break them & Oaths--Fulfil the covenant of Allah when ye have entered into it, and break not your oaths after ye have confirmed them; indeed ye have made Allah your surety; for Allah knoweth all that ye do.s92- And be not like a woman who breaks into untwisted strands the yarn she has spun, after it has become strong. Nor take your oaths to practise deception between yourselves, lest one party should be more numerous than another: for Allah will test you by this; and on the Day of Judgment He will certainly make clear to you (the truth of) that wherein ye disagree.

16-91.           وَأَوْفُوا بِعَهْدِ اللَّهِ إِذَا عَاهَدْتُمْ وَلَا تَنْقُضُوا الْأَيْمَانَ بَعْدَ تَوْكِيدِهَا وَقَدْ جَعَلْتُمُ اللَّهَ عَلَيْكُمْ كَفِيلًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
  
[Ahmed Ali]     اور الله کا عہد پورا کرو جب آپس میں عہد کرو اور قسموں کو پکاکرنے کے بعد نہ توڑو حالانکہ تم نے الله کو اپنے اوپر گواہ بنا یا ہے بے شک الله جانتا ہے جو تم کرتے ہو

16/92.           وَلَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّتِي نَقَضَتْ غَزْلَهَا مِنْ بَعْدِ قُوَّةٍ أَنْكَاثًا تَتَّخِذُونَ أَيْمَانَكُمْ دَخَلًا بَيْنَكُمْ أَنْ تَكُونَ أُمَّةٌ هِيَ أَرْبَىٰ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ ۚ إِنَّمَا يَبْلُوكُمُ اللَّهُ بِهِ ۚ وَلَيُبَيِّنَنَّ لَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَا كُنْتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ
  
 [Ahmed Ali]     اور اس عورت جیسے نہ بنو جواپنا سوت محنت کے بعد کاٹ کر توڑ ڈالے کہ تم اپنی قسموں کو آپس میں فساد کا ذریعہ بنانے لگو محض اس لیے کہ ایک گروہ دوسرے گروہ سے بڑھ جائے الله اس میں تمہاری آزمائش کرتا ہے اور جس چیز میں تم اختلاف کرتے ہو الله اسے ضرور قیامت کے دن ظاہر کردے گا
