At-Taubah | Repentance سورة التوبة  Sura # 9 | Madina

9-86.           وَإِذَا أُنْزِلَتْ سُورَةٌ أَنْ آمِنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَجَاهِدُوا مَعَ رَسُولِهِ اسْتَأْذَنَكَ أُولُو الطَّوْلِ مِنْهُمْ وَقَالُوا ذَرْنَا نَكُنْ مَعَ الْقَاعِدِينَ

 
  [Ahmed Ali]     اور جب کوئی سورة نازل ہوتی ہے کہ الله پر ایمان لاؤ اور اس کے رسول کےساتھ ہو کر جہاد کرو تو ان میں سے دولت مند بھی تجھ سے رخصت مانگتے ہیں اورکہتے ہیں کہ ہمیں چھوڑ دے کہ بیٹھنے والوں کے ساتھ ہو جائیں

    

[Yusuf Ali]     When a Surah comes down, enjoining them to believe in Allah and to strive and fight along with His Meseenger 
those with wealth and influence among them ask thee for exemption,
and say: "Leave us (behind): we would be with those who sit (at home)."

9-87.           رَضُوا بِأَنْ يَكُونُوا مَعَ الْخَوَالِفِ وَطُبِعَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ

  
[Ahmed Ali]     وہ خوش ہیں کہ پیچھے رہ جانے والی عورتوں کے ساتھ رہ جائیں اور ان کے دلوں پر مہر کر دی گئی ہے سووہ نہیں سمجھتے

    

[Yusuf Ali]     They prefer to be with (the women) who remain behind (at home): their hearts are sealed
and so they understand not.

9-93.           ۞ إِنَّمَا السَّبِيلُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يَسْتَأْذِنُونَكَ وَهُمْ أَغْنِيَاءُ ۚ رَضُوا بِأَنْ يَكُونُوا مَعَ الْخَوَالِفِ وَطَبَعَ اللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
  
 [Ahmed Ali]     الزام ان لوگوں پر ہے جو دولتمند ہیں اورتم سے اجازت طلب کرتے ہیں اس بات سے وہ خوش ہیں کہ پیچھے رہنے والیوں کے ساتھ رہ جائیں اور الله نے ان کے دلوں پر مہر کر دی ہے پس وہ نہیں سمجھتے
    

 [Yusuf Ali]     The ground (of complaint) is only against such as claim exemption while they, are rich.
They prefer to stay with the (women) who remain behind: 
Allah hath sealed their hearts; so they know not (what they miss).

9-94.           يَعْتَذِرُونَ إِلَيْكُمْ إِذَا رَجَعْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ ۚ قُلْ لَا تَعْتَذِرُوا لَنْ نُؤْمِنَ لَكُمْ قَدْ نَبَّأَنَا اللَّهُ مِنْ أَخْبَارِكُمْ ۚ وَسَيَرَى اللَّهُ عَمَلَكُمْ وَرَسُولُهُ ثُمَّ تُرَدُّونَ إِلَىٰ عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
   

 [Ahmed Ali]     جب تم ان کی طرف واپس جاؤ گے تو تم سے عذر کریں گے کہہ دو عذر مت کرو ہم تمہاری بات ہرگز نہیں مانیں گے تمہارے سب حالات اللہ ہمیں بتاچکا ہے اور ابھی الله اور اس کا رسول تمہارے کام کو دیکھے گا پھر تم غائب اور حاضر کے جاننے والےکی طرف لوٹائے جاؤ گے سو وہ تمہیں بتا دے گا جو تم کر رہے تھے
   

 [Yusuf Ali]     They will present their excuses to you 

when ye return to them.

Say thou: "Present no excuses: 

we shall not believe you: 

Allah hath already informed us of the true state of matters concerning you:

it is your actions that Allah and His Messenger will observe:

in the end will ye be brought back to Him who knoweth 

what is hidden 

and what is open: then will

He show you the truth of all that ye did

9/95.           سَيَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ لَكُمْ إِذَا انْقَلَبْتُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لِتُعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمْ ۖ فَأَعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ رِجْسٌ ۖ وَمَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ جَزَاءً بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
    

 [Ahmed Ali]     جب تم ان کی طرف پھر جاؤ گے تو تمہارے سامنے الله کی قسمیں کھائیں گےتاکہ تم ان سے در گزر کرو بے شک وہ پلید ہیں اور جو کام کرتے رہے ہیں ان کے بدلے ان کا ٹھکانا دوزخ ہے
     

[Yusuf Ali]     They will swear to you by Allah, 

when ye return to them,

that ye may leave them alone. So leave them alone:

For they are an abomination, 

and Hell is their dwelling place―

a fitting recompense for the (evil) that they did.
 

At-Taubah | Repentance سورة التوبة  Sura # 9 | Madina
9-96.           يَحْلِفُونَ لَكُمْ لِتَرْضَوْا عَنْهُمْ ۖ فَإِنْ تَرْضَوْا عَنْهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَرْضَىٰ عَنِ الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِينَ
    

[Ahmed Ali]     وہ لوگ تمہارے سامنے قسمیں کھائیں گے تاکہ تم ان سے خوش ہو جاؤ اگر تم ان سے خوش بھی ہو جاؤ تو بھی الله نافرمانوں سے خوش نہیں ہوتا
    

[Yusuf Ali]     They will swear unto you, that ye may be pleased with them, 

but if ye are pleased with them 

Allah is not pleased with those who disobey.
