At-Taubah | Repentance سورة التوبة  Sura # 9 | Madina

9-23.           يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا آبَاءَكُمْ وَإِخْوَانَكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ إِنِ اسْتَحَبُّوا الْكُفْرَ عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ ۚ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّهُمْ مِنْكُمْ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ

    

[Ahmed Ali]     اے ایمان والو! اپنے باپوں اور بھائیوں سے دوستی نہ رکھو اگر وہ ایمان پر کفر کو پسند کریں اور تم میں سے جو ان سے دوستی رکھے گا سو وہی لوگ ظالم ہیں

    

[Yusuf Ali]     O ye who believe! Take not for protectors your fathers and your brothers if they love infidelity above faith: if any of you do so they do wrong.

9/24.           قُلْ إِنْ كَانَ آبَاؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَاؤُكُمْ وَإِخْوَانُكُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُكُمْ وَعَشِيرَتُكُمْ وَأَمْوَالٌ اقْتَرَفْتُمُوهَا وَتِجَارَةٌ تَخْشَوْنَ كَسَادَهَا وَمَسَاكِنُ تَرْضَوْنَهَا أَحَبَّ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنَ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ وَجِهَادٍ فِي سَبِيلِهِ فَتَرَبَّصُوا حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِيَ اللَّهُ بِأَمْرِهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الْفَاسِقِينَ

    

[Ahmed Ali]     کہہ دے اگر تمہارے باپ اور بیٹے اور بھائی اوربیویاں اور برادری اور مال جو تم نے کمائے ہیں اور سوداگری جس کے بند ہونے سے تم ڈرتے ہو اور مکانات جنہیں تم پسند کر تے ہو تمہیں الله اور اس کے رسول اوراس کی راہ میں لڑنے سے زیادہ پیارے ہیں تو انتظار کرو یہاں تک کہ الله اپنا حکم بھیجے اور الله نافرمانوں کو راستہ نہیں دکھاتا

    

[Yusuf Ali]     Say: If it be that your fathers, 

your sons, 

your brothers, 

your mates, 

or your kindred; 

the wealth that ye have gained;

the commerce in which ye fear a decline; 

or the dwellings in which ye delight― 

are dearer to you than Allah or His Messenger 

or the striving in His cause;

then wait until Allah brings about His decision: 

and Allah guides not the rebellious.

9-38.           يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مَا لَكُمْ إِذَا قِيلَ لَكُمُ انْفِرُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ اثَّاقَلْتُمْ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ ۚ أَرَضِيتُمْ بِالْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا مِنَ الْآخِرَةِ ۚ فَمَا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ

    

 [Ahmed Ali]     اے ایمان والو تمہیں کیا ہوا جب تمہیں کہا جاتا ہے کہ الله کی راہ میں کوچ کرو تو زمین پر گرے جاتے ہو کیا تم آخرت کو چھوڑ کر دنیا کی زندگی پر خوش ہو گئے ہو دنیا کی زندگی کا فائدہ تو آخرت کے مقابلہ میں بہت ہی کم ہے

   

 [Yusuf Ali]     O ye who believe! what is the matter with you, 

that when ye are asked to go forth in the cause of Allah,

ye cling heavily to the earth? 

Do ye prefer the life of this world to the Hereafter?

But little is the comfort of this life, as compared with the Hereafter.

9/39.           إِلَّا تَنْفِرُوا يُعَذِّبْكُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا وَيَسْتَبْدِلْ قَوْمًا غَيْرَكُمْ وَلَا تَضُرُّوهُ شَيْئًا ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

    

 [Ahmed Ali]     اگر تم نہ نکلو گے تو الله تمہیں دردناک عذاب میں مبتلا کر ے گا اور تمہاری جگہ اور لوگ پیدا کر ے گا اور تم اسے کوئی نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکو گے اور الله ہر چیز پر قادر ہے
