HDN-PREFR-SIN- But the wrongdoers pursued the enjoyment of the good things of life which were given them, and persisted in sin.

HDN-II-116.           فَلَوْلَا كَانَ مِنَ الْقُرُونِ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ أُولُو بَقِيَّةٍ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْفَسَادِ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا مِمَّنْ أَنْجَيْنَا مِنْهُمْ ۗ وَاتَّبَعَ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مَا أُتْرِفُوا فِيهِ وَكَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ
    

 [Ahmed Ali]     سو ان جماعتوں میں ایسے لوگ کیوں نہ ہوئے جو تم سے پہلے تھیں جو ملک میں فساد پھیلانے سے منع کرتے بجز چند آدمیوں کے جنہیں ہم نے ان میں سے بچا لیا تھا اور جن لوگو ں نے نافرمانی کی تھی وہ تو انہیں لذتوں کے پیچھے پڑے رہے جو ان کو دی گئی تھیں اور وہ مجرم تھے
    


 [Yusuf Ali]     Why were there not among, the generations before you,

persons possessed of balanced good sense prohibiting (men) from mischief in the earth―

except a few among them whom We saved (from harm)? 

But the wrongdoers pursued the enjoyment of the good things of life which were given them,

and persisted in sin.








Al-Insan |  The man سورة الإنسان  Sura # 76 | Makkah
HDN-76/27.           إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ يُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَاءَهُمْ يَوْمًا ثَقِيلًا
  
 [Ahmed Ali]     بے شک یہ لوگ دنیا کو چاہتے ہیں اور اپنے پیچھے ایک بھاری دن کو چھوڑتے ہیں
   
 [Yusuf Ali]     As to these, they love the fleeting life, and put away behind them a Day (that will be) hard.


HDN-76/28.           نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاهُمْ وَشَدَدْنَا أَسْرَهُمْ ۖ وَإِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَا أَمْثَالَهُمْ تَبْدِيلًا
   
 [Ahmed Ali]     ہم ہی نے انہیں پیدا کیااور ان کے جوڑ مضبوط کر دیئے اورجب ہم چاہیں ان جیسےان کے بدلے اور لا سکتے ہیں
   
 [Yusuf Ali]     It is We Who created them, and We have made their joints strong;

but, when We will, We can substitute the like of them by a complete change
